I have tested everything here, and it all works just fine on my phone.  
If you want to recreate these binaries, just grab buildroot-tux.tar.gz,
untar it, then just run 'make' and prepare to wait a while while it 
compiles everything (it will also need to download about 30 Megs of
source code....)

TimRiker adds: the tuxscreen-blob is blob-2.0.4 with console rate set
to 115200 instead of 9600 baud. The install instructions on:

are otherwise accurate, just don't bother switching speeds it's 115200
for everything.
